NRMA/AAA Rating

At Yarrabin Guest Property, we guarantee satisfaction and great value. Our tariff includes full board (with three delicious country meals a day) and use of all facilities (tennis court, spa, sports field, games room, TV rooms, and farm animals). Horse riding can also be part of your holiday at Yarrabin if you wish – we charge separately for trail rides so you can decide if you wish to participate or simply relax. Led pony rides for children are free for in-house guests.

  • Fantastic Horse Riding on our 2500 acre property! Ride one over 30 well trained horses suitable for the nervous beginner to the experienced rider.
  • All rides are escorted by our happy and trained guides. They'll even give you some riding tips if you need them.
  • You ride at the level you are capable of - which means that if you are up to cantering, you will be cantering. Otherwise you will be walking and trotting.
  • We provide riding helmets, drizabone coats, chappettes - all you need is long pants or jodphurs, and a top which doesn't expose your shoulders or tummy (it's a safety thing)
  • Longer rides for competent riders also available - to the O'Connell Pub for lunch then return. Over 4 hours of super riding AND a pub lunch for only $150 per person
  • Minimum age 6 years
  • Bookings essential - most rides are over subscribed. Call or email us well before the time you would like to ride with us
  • Riding lessons (individual and small group) also available

    Other Information about Yarrabin 

    Weekends 
    There are no surcharges for weekends, but there is a two night minimum stay. Check in after 5.00 pm Friday and check out up to dusk on Sunday. Complimentary supper served Friday evening from 7pm til late. Weekend "extension" possible as dinner, bed and breakfast on Sunday evening. Some weekends are themed, all-inclusive weekends – please see our special offers page.

    Mid Week Specials 
    Outside school and public holidays, we offer specials on mid week accommodation – please enquire. 

    School Holidays 
    We do not charge a surcharge for school holidays. School holiday periods are in blocks of 4, 3 or 2 day periods - please enquire for specific date for these blocks. Kids Clubs are run during certain hours during school holidays. And childcare at other times is also available at a minimal extra charge.

    Public Holidays 
    No surcharge but 4 day minimum at Easter and 3 day minimum for other public holidays.

    Deposits and Payments
    For holiday bookings, a deposit of $100 per person is required at the time you make the booking. FOR WORKSHOPS, KIDS CAMPS, DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS AND CONFERENCES, FULL PAYMENT IS REQUIRED AT THE TIME OF YOUR BOOKING. Accounts are then settled at checkout. Deposits can be made by Visa or MasterCard, or by direct deposit to our account. Final payments may be made by cash, Visa, MasterCard, Eftpos or American Express.

    Cancellations 
    For cancellations within 30 days prior to arrival, your total deposit will be charged as the cancellation fee. For cancellations outside 30 days prior to arrival, 50% of you deposit will be charged as the cancellation fee. We recommend travel insurance be taken out.

    What to Bring 
    Guests are requested to bring their own beer, wine and spirits. If you need more, the O’Connell Hotel is close by. Bring your casual clothes to Yarrabin Guest Property. We are at 800 metres above sea level, so most nights are fresh – we would suggest you bring a jumper, and, in winter, a coat. For horse riding, you will need long comfortable pants and shoes or boots, preferably with a heel. A towel and swim wear will be needed for the pool/spa. 

    Pets 
    Sorry, we do not allow guests to bring their pets, though ours are available for you to cuddle, walk and pamper.
