You'll enjoy more Yarrabin news, meet some new staff AND find some fantastic deals and competitions. Please forward widely, or ask people to send us their names and email addresses so we can welcome them to the "Yarrabin family." Imagine..Yarrabin has been operating continuously for over 42 years, providing memorable country holidays and horse riding. Annie is the eldest daughter of Gavin and Sue Christie who started Yarrabin way back in 1963! Graeme and Annie would love to see you back at Yarrabin soon.

Kids ride for FREE!!!

Looking for a way to fully occupy your children these July school holidays? Where they can have heaps of fun, learn something and meet lots of other kids? A place where you can ride, relax and re-connect with your family? Well try Yarrabin! We are offering free horse rides for children aged 6 to 16..they can ride as many times as they like and you will save up to $66 each day per child. But we will also teach them how to improve their riding as well - we have wonderful guides (and Annie of course) and over 30 well trained horses PLUS endless trails. Join them if you wish, or just relax in front of the open fire or in the hot spa. Children need to stay at Yarrabin with at least one adult. There is only limited availability during the July school holidays, so you will have to book and pay a deposit by Fri 24th June for this offer.

Welcome to our new team members!!!

A big hearty Yarrabin welcome to our new team members Jo and Sandra!! Jo is the youngest Christie girl (Annie's sister) and returns to O'Connell after 3 years in New Zealand. In NZ, she helped run a couple of trail riding places near Queenstown. Her horse riding skills on a par with Annie. She joins us as the head wrangler (guide). Sandra also has spent 3 years in NZ working in the hospitality and tourism areas. Originally from Ireland, Sandra runs our kitchen and cooks up some tantalizing meals for you. (the photo shows Jo and Sandra with Annie - and a new horse "HARRY") Yas (who many kids will know from our Kids Camps) returns to our team after a short break. And at the beginning of July, we will have another vibrant girl join us all the way from the UK - Natasha (or Tasha). She'll be with us for about three months.

Groups groups and more groups!!!

Yarrabin remains a popular destination for groups - and why not? With over 20 paying guests, you get the whole place to yourselves, a nice discount off the accommodation costs, the freedom to party all night and not drive anywhere, a hot spa to all jump into after the rides (or late at night!!), and lashings of Sandra's great cooking!!! Some of the groups we have hosted included our now famous "belly dancing" group from Owen T Daniel Accountants, Jo Keough's group over the Jun long weekend, the "Roseville" group organised by Fi Taylor, Chris and Ann Burt's group, a 30th birthday bash for Ness Johnson and a hockey team from Kildare College in Wagga. Upcoming groups include people from getalife.com.au. (Many thanks to the organisers!) So if you have a group of friends, family or even work mates that love to get away and have a fantastic time, let us know and we will put together a package for you!!

Always Something Happening at Yarrabin!

You know us - we love what we do and are always looking to improve your Yarrabin experience. We had a little boy recently who asked us what we did.after a bit of thought, we answered "we put a smile on people's face!!" No-one leaves Yarrabin disappointed - in fact some people never want to leave at all!!! Of course, you can become one our team members if you really want to escape. So some of the key activities happening are listed on the link below, and include a special Fathers Day weekend from 2 to 4 Sep, a level 1 Leadership & Horses program 15 to 17 Sep, a riders weekend 14 to 16 Oct (includes a complimentary moonlight ride - and you just need to be a confident rider!!), and two Active Horsemanship workshops from 24 to 27 Oct and 10 to 13 Nov (only 8 available spots on each). And don't forget our Kids Camps - there are five in the Dec/Jan holidays. They are filling fast.so book early so you can avoid disappointment.

We Have a Dream.

We love hearing stories about your experience at Yarrabin, and also how often kids talk about Yarrabin and our wonderful horses with their friends. Do you have one to share with us? One parent overheard her son chatting to his friend who he had been to Yarrabin with. There was some gentle banter about who was the better rider, but it became serious when each claimed Chiko as "his" horse!!! Not sure how we are going to solve that when they both come back! Maybe call all our horses Chiko!! So our dream is that Yarrabin becomes a household name and an even more popular holiday destination..and that there is lively discussions and stories about Yarrabin and the effect it has had on people and families. We have third generation families coming through now, and even boast to teaching Nicole Kidman to ride!! So would you like to help us? Please pass this email to all your friends and family, and do a quick survey of how many people have heard of Yarrabin. Talk about us at dinner parties, at the doctors, in the supermarket, at school. Love to see you all back here soon!! Remember the free riding for children during the July school holidays - but you will have to act quick as we can only offer this til Fri 24 Jun. Happy trails..
